The monitoring of electrical networks and their documentation are of increasing importance. The PLMulti and PLMaster systems from JEAN MÜLLER include devices for the recording, indication and relaying of the data which provide permanent support for the technical personnel. Current transformers (CTs) are introduced where it is difficult to access a direct measuring ot network current. Current transformer transforms the high network current (primary current) to a standard low measuring current (secondary current) with a certain accuracy (classes). In addition the current transformer must isolate the measuring circuit and to it connected measuring devices from the network, i.e.: a galvanic isolation of measuring circuit from network. So that the measuring devices which are connected to the measuring circuit, are protected from destruction.
The accuracy and safety of the connected measuring devices are directly regulated by the “quality factor” of the introduced current transformers. The current transformers of range 0.5 correspond to the DIN VDE 0414/1; DIN 42600 and DIN EN 60044/1: Issue 11/2001
